20. Juli 2010
Petra Hajna has been appointed Green Business Manager for Skanska’s commercial developments in Czech Republic and Poland. It is a new role with the purpose to support the organization in green matters. Petra has a broad experience from Skanska through her previous work with sustainability on a corporate level as well as the construction unit in the Czech Republic. She is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional and has been responsible for green business support, such as internal educations, for Skanska’s Central European units.
“Built environments consume huge quantities of finite natural resources during the construction and operational phases. Skanska will make a difference. We are commited to green developments and implement sustainable solutions and sound materials in all our projects”, says Britta Cesar, Managing Director Skanska Property Czech Republic. “I am very glad that we get the opportunity to benefit from Petra’s extensive knowledge within sustainable developments. The mission for the Green Business Manager is to implement green thinking in all parts of the project process.”
“I am really looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to environmentally responsible office projects,” says Petra Hajna. “Skanska’s focus on sustainable buildings is a win-win situation that both the environment and the tenants are contributing from. Our energy efficient solutions do not mean any additional costs for the tenants, but savings on the energy bills.”
Further changes have been made in Skanska’s Commercial Development organization. Johan Hedve, the Leasing Manager for Skanska Property Czech Republic, is leaving for new challenges within Skanska’s corporate Green Business Team in Sweden. He is succeeded by Alexandra Tomaskova who joined Skanska in February this year. The leasing team is in the process of hiring new leasing negotiators to meet future demands.
“One of the strenghts with Skanska is the possibility to transfer knowledge and experience from one market or unit to another” says Britta Cesar. “We are planning to start City Green Court, a new green project in Prague 4 later on this year and I believe that our organization is equipped to offer the best overall solutions for our future tenants and investors.”
Petra Hajná is 30 years old and will join Skanska Property from September 1st 2010. Petra is a graduate from Brno Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering – specialization on Building Construction and Agricultural Faculty of South Bohemian University in České Budějovice – specialization on Landscaping and Real Estate. She also passed professional trainings focused on Design of Energy-efficient Buildings and Green and Sustainable Building Assessment Methods and Tools at Czech Technical University in Prague. She is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional from 2009. The last 2,5 years she worked for Skanska AB in Sweden and now she returns back to the Czech Republic. During her studies she also spent 9 months on studious-work stay in the U.S. She likes sports and travelling.
